About Me
Hey, I'm Julien Ripouteau, a French web developer who loves building things across the stack.
I've been freelancing for almost 10 years now, working with companies of all sizes on all kinds of projects. Over time, I’ve built mobile apps, developer tools, dashboards, backends, frontends, done some devops, and a bunch of random experiments just for fun. Accross different languages, frameworks and domains.
Huge open source nerd, part of the AdonisJS core team, I’ve invested a lot in OSS over the years and created many packages for the Typescript ecosystem.
One day, I am building a Node.js backend, the next day I am writing a React app or playing with SolidJS, then another day I am building Grafana dashboards, building Three.js things for fun, structuring clean monorepos, optimizing PostgreSQL queries, playing with Redis caching strategies...
If it runs on Typescript, chances are I’ve played with it (or broken it and learned something in the process). Also hype-driven but trying to stay pragmatic
